Although a far cry from the bulky invisibility devices created in the past, the latest invisibility cloak measures just 0.15mm thin. Apart from the rather thin frame, it is also made from copper and polycarbonate instead of metamaterials. Developed by researchers at the University of Texas, Austin, the cloak successfully hides objects from microwaves similar to those used by radars.

There is a thin layer of copper and polycarbonate material used; the copper has a patterned design which causes light to scatter from the surface of the object. The copper strips are 66 millimeters thin and the polycarbonate layer is 100 millimeters thin. These two films together form a diagonal fishnet pattern which causes light to scatter and cancels out incoming waves. Using this, researchers were able to create a cloak that successfully shielded an 18 centimeter tall cylindrical rod from microwave light (seen in above image).

‘When the scattered fields from the cloak and the object interfere, they cancel each other out and the overall effect is transparency and invisibility at all angles of observation,’ said Andrea Alu, one of the physicists.

Before you get too excited about this concept, there is a small catch here. This cloak doesn’t produce the same effect with normal visible light – at least not as yet. The cloak, presently, is able to hide small objects, micrometer in size, from visible light. That invariably means you might be successful in hiding a skin cell or two with this cloak!

Regardless of the size of the cloak and its short-comings, it certainly is not just a nifty trick. With this creation, we are going a step closer to making an actual Cloak of Invisibility in the future. An exciting development in its own right, this invisibility cloak, in some ways, has given us a glance in to the future.

• The saddest part of the search is that the old man says he could hardly recollect his brother’s voice.
• To go on with the search, Bodner took the assistance of Ayana KimRon, a skilled genealogist.
• The assistance that Bodner got from the expert was through his advertisement on various internet media, which read details about his lost twin brother.

Kim Ron’s Statements

• In an interview given to TODAY.com, KimRon revealed that she felt emotionally heavy after reading what Bodner had pasted on multiple outlets of the media. KimRon feels that Bodner needs to live the rest of his deceasing age with the lovely twin.
• While KimRon employed usual methods of finding the lost relationship, she never succeeded and finally entered into internet media to search.
• She opened up a Facebook community named A-7734, which was the code given to the lost twin brother, Jolli, articulated as Yoli.
• With that she added up information about Jolli and something about Auschwitz which she calls as the source of torment to Bodner & his brother
• KimRon updated a photograph of Jolli at a really younger age.
• She said she is happy with the replies that she got and the photo shares have hit a massive number of more than 37,000. Bodner & KimRon say their mission would be accomplished if they see at least a member of Jolli’s family.

Earlier this year, during the Golden Globe Awards ceremony, Fey and Poehler ridiculed Swift by asking her to stay away from actor Michael J Fox’s son. Swift, who is now infamous for having dated and broken-off with, a slew of young celebrities in the past couple of years, didn’t seem to take the joke all that well, when she retorted in an interview,

“You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people. Because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.’”

However, Fey and Poehler seem quite unperturbed by the statement, claiming that it was all said in good fun.

Talk show host Chelsea Handler, gave her two-cents on the story by stating,

“I like that she’s being that vociferous about something that she thinks they were out to get her. They were clearly making a joke just about her demeanor, which is embarrassing. I mean, she’s just dated so many men.
My theory about Taylor Swift is that she’s a virgin, that everyone breaks up with her because they date her for two weeks and she’s like, ‘I’m not gonna do it.’ And they’re like, ‘Oh, well, forget it. Then I don’t want to date you,’” Handler explained. “Every guy thinks they’re going to devirginize her, and they’re not. She’s never going to get devirginized, ever, ever, ever, ever.”

For all we know, Chelsea may be on to something, but far it be for us to speculate over what’s possible and what’s not, considering how no one really knows the truth behind her break-ups. Although, one can’t deny that the singer asks for the criticism most times.

True, it’s preferable for artists to write songs based on topics close to heart so as to impart raw emotion upon it. However, her slew of songs on betrayal, released right after her break-ups, may be a little obvious. You can get away with it once or twice, but now it’s just getting out of hand.

Perhaps, considering her tender age, boy problems may be what’s got her heart in turmoil now, but does she really need to sing about it, after? The media really doesn’t need much to feed upon, anyhow. Just ask Justin Bieber…or Chris Brown…although the latter may have asked for it owing to his bad temper.

With the recent lashes, one wonders if a Taylor Swift song based on the betrayal of fellow women is on the horizon. On the bright side, at least she’d be finally switching to a different genre.

Apple, which seems firm in its unwillingness to give up on the smartphone market share, may release the iPhone 5s by June and begin their shipment by July. Though the news is unofficial and Apple has made no claims regarding the existence of such a device, reliable resources have given us a hint on Apple’s plans for the year 2013. Unlike the delay in last year’s iPhone 5 launch, resources claim that, the company is looking forward to release the device sooner in this year. The rumors also claim that the device will retain its form factor and design, but will sport a beefed up processor and an advanced camera that will have smart features that responds to the pertaining daylight conditions.

Considering the company’s longstanding practice of rolling out a subordinate iPhone model within months of its original’s release, these rumors can be to an extent believed. The rumors also claim that the next iPhone to release will run on the 7th version of the iOS operating system and will have advanced capabilities.

Apart from the speculations on the iPhone 5s, rumor has it that Apple is reportedly developing a next generation iPad and iPad mini as well. The interesting fact is that the iPad 5 and iPad Mini2, as they are rumored to be, will release much ahead of the iPhone 5S and scheduled somewhere around April 2013. Nobody knows how legitimate the rumors on the iPads are, but they do state that the iPad Mini may feature a retina display this time and the iPad 5 may feature incremented specifications and functioning abilities.

So, this is it! If the rumors are true, we’ve just a couple of months to go before we can actually lay our hands on the upcoming iDevices. And as far as the competition is concerned, the rival has already set the date as March 14th. So, who will it be to outdo each other? Let’s wait and find out.

Unlike Dropbox, the website uses a single step verification process to allow access to its users. This means users have to just enter in their passwords to access their homepage. When anonymous hacks and intrusions like these are increasing rapidly, it is indeed essential that companies implement a stricter encryption procedure. The company has claimed that consumers can pre-order for the device starting from the 1st of March.
